The Final has been set!

Vanishing Spray FC (18) 45 – 56 Gloopy Yarbles (7)
Gloopy Yarbles into their first Final, face the 2017 Champions
Gloopy signed Daniel Podence last weekend and he took the field on Friday night alongside opposition ‘keeper Areola in a bid to get the Yarbles into the Final. Facing them were his Wolves teammates Romain Saiss and Ruben Neves representing the Premier League’s Vanishing Spray FC. It was very nearly Podence who got the scoring going when he took Semedo’s through pass and put it on the head of Willian Jose. Unfortunately, VAR decided that Podence was millimetres offside and Jose’s first goal for Wolves will have to wait for another day. A fairly uneventful game was finally decided in the 93rd-minute by a goal for Traore, denying Areola his clean sheet while Saiss and the Wolves defence held on defiantly. With Areola and Neves on their respective benches, the Premier League side walked in with a Friday night lead.
Vanishing Spray FC 6-3 Gloopy Yarbles
Saturday was a lot more profitable for Gloopy and it all happened at Selhurst Park. Firstly Kai Havertz put The Blues ahead before laying the ball forward for Pulisic to rocket it home two minutes later. Mason Mount’s free kick for Spray was met by Zouma at the back post around the halfhour mark, putting Chelski three-up and closing the gap to Yarbles by three, but the second half saw Pulisic slot home a second at the back stick, crossed in by Reece James (also Yarbles) and the Championship-hopefuls led by 21 at half-time.
Half-Time Score: Vanishing Spray FC 13-34 Gloopy Yarbles
Nick Pope was still out injured when Sunday came around, which meant that Areola (who, frustratingly, was seconds away from collecting a rare clean sheet) would step up for Gloopy. Both teams had three players appearing, both had Bruno Fernandes (2 FPts) and both had a player score a brace – Iheanacho in-form again for Yarbles and Lingard in better form (and scoring more valuable goals from midfield) for Spray. The difference maker this day was Ederson Cavani who found space behind Serge Aurier in the second half and headed home to give United three points.
Vanishing Spray FC 29-56 Gloopy Yarbles
After passing the 50-point mark, Gloopy rested. With no more players, they set the bar at 56 and it was up to Spray’s five remaining men to hit the target. Unfortunately for VSFC, the first game saw Saints lose to the Baggies for the first time since 2016 and Spray’s faith in Bednarek and Che Adams went unrewarded. So it was upto Everton to make a go at getting the former Premier League Champions into the Final. Long story short, the defence did their job, earning clean sheets for Olsen and Keane, but the Brighton defence was also up to the job and kept out Richarlison and co. Everton missed the chance to climb above Spurs and Spray bowed out with a respectable 45FPts.
Final Score: Vanishing Spray FC 45-56 Gloopy Yarbles
So Gloopy Yarbles win and will be in the Spring Cup Final against what may be their bogey team – Bigger than Brolin. This will be the fourth meeting between the sides; Big Brol have won all three so far – twice in the Champions League group stage and once more in last year’s BFFA Cup. As always, however, history is no mark of current form. The two sides are currently side-by-side in the Best-ish table so we could be in for a very, very close game!
