Season 9 – Postseason Week 2

The results are in!

And that’s it, Season 9 has come to an end.

It’s been another fantastic season and one that some of us will remember for a long, long time. We had title races that went down to the Final Day, we had a Champions League Final that had to be replayed, we had a mid-season World Cup break (!) and we had a ton of high-scoring and phenomenally close matches.

And let’s not forget that we lost one of our own this year. Please raise a glass when you get home today and say thanks.

But we also achieved new highs. We have some talented new managers in the BFFA, three of whom (yes, three!) earned promotion and a fourth will be joining them in the Champions League next season too. We passed our 7,000th match just a few weeks ago and we are now building up to another big milestone – the TENTH Draft of the BFFA. I wonder how many of the original members expected to see that?

So to conclude the season, we can now announce the final promotions, the Champions League & IML teams for next season, the postseason victors and the Best(ish) Team of the Season. Here are your final results!

Thanks to everybody involved this season.

There have been so many great games, a lot of excitement, a few surprises and some absolute heroes standing out for us this season, not least our League Admins – Darren, Ben and Chris. You guys have a been brilliant, we wouldn’t be able to do this without your help!

We had a lot of fun and cannot wait to start on the next campaign! And don’t forget that we will also be enjoying the talent and flair of Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton Town in August!

I’d like to add on a personal note, that this is an amazing group and I’m so grateful to be a part of it, so thank you to all who got this started, and thank you to everyone who is here today! You guys rule. Thanks to Glenn for setting up the Discord forums last year, and shoutouts to anyone who has had anything to say on the Facebook Banter pages. I wish I had time to wisecrack with you jebends more often. I’ve had a lot of fun this year, and I can’t wait to start setting up my Draft Picks.

Thank you all for being great players and we’ll see you back here in two months for the 10th BFFA Draft!
