Thank you for sticking with us and thanks also to those who have joined us this season. It’s great to be back and we’re pretty excited to see what Fantrax can offer us!
Over the next few weeks we will slowly be tidying up this website and recording the matches that have already been played this season. But first, we should announce the changes to our side-tournaments for this season.
This season we are going to run TWO 40-team knockout Cups. Both Cups will be six rounds of single-leg matches. The first tournament will kick off after the international break in GW5 and play every other gameweek, finishing on Boxing Day (GW15). The second tournament will begin on GW21, at the end of January, and the Final will be on Gameweek 33 at the end of April.
After that, the two Cup Winners will meet in Gameweek 35 and play a one-off match for the first-ever BFFA Super Cup!
The draw for the first two rounds will take place during the international break weekend, on the 11th or 12th October. The 16 teams that are lowest in the Best-ish Table after Gameweek 4 will be entered into the First Round Draw. The other 24 sides will get a bye to the Second Round. The Second Round Draw will be made at the same time, so all 40 teams will be involved.

Boring bit – if there are two or more teams level on matchpoints when the First Round teams are decided, the teams with the lowest matchpoints in their most recent game will have to play in the first round.
If any Cup games are tied, they will go to a replay. In the unlikely event of a replay being drawn, the tie will be decided on Goals scored, Assists made, most clean sheets, fewest red cards, fewest yellow cards, minutes played in that order. That should do it. If it’s still not decided then I guess another replay could be played, if they ask nicely.
So, try and stay out of the bottom 16 around deadline day and pray to the Fantasy Football Gods that you draw the weaker teams throughout. Don’t forget to tinker, trade, barter and poach.
The Draws are normally streamed live on the BFFA Facebook Group page. We will announce links/invites both here and on there when dates and times are set.
