Premier League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• GLOOPY YARBLES ARE CHAMPIONS! With a huge 45-point win, Gloopy Yarbles have been crowned Premier League Champions with three games still to play. They’ve led since GW2, won the Champions League and have now won their first league title.
• Housewives Favourite close right up to mighty Fine despite João Pedro seeing red in the first match. Mbuemo notched up a huge 18 in the same game, and Rashford scored against City from the spot in the penultimate match to make Wives Fave uncatchable.
• Sporting Wicker returning to winning ways to keep their season alive. In a big 140-point match, Leandro Trossard’s heroics in front of goal earn them a lifeline.
• HLAB leapfrog El Dude Bros and take control of the PL’s CLQ space.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:

GW7: 34 – 38 // GW16: 41 – 49 // GW25: 76 – 36

😬 The Run-In 🕒🕑🕐
It’s that time of the season where things are starting to be confirmed. The #1 spot has been cemented, although it seemed done-and-dusted a long time ago. Similarly, no-one else can realistically join the top three, so the final three weeks will be a race between the previous two Premier League champions – mighty Fine and Wives Fave. The former appear top have the easier run-in with games to come against the bottom two, while Wives Fave face the new champions next weekend.
At the other end, 5th-placed El Dude are still at risk of falling into the unwanted playoffs, and bottom side SWP can escape the drop entirely with a good run in the final three. Their next clash – 8th-placed Gnonto Seed who have lost their last three.

Championship

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• De Bruyne Trousers not only got their 5th TotW award, but they recorded the second-highest winning margin of the season. The only bigger margin happened in the exact same fixture nine gameweeks ago (DBT 114 – 22 GoFys). Big scores = big promotion potential. DBT up to 2nd, and with a huge matchpoints differential advantage.
• Barons stole the win back from Prelim in the last minutes of the final game. After having led the tie for most of the long gameweek, Prelim had looked like coming out on top with goals from Rashford and then Eze, but then Mateta came on with just ten minutes to go, equalized three minutes later and (somehow) earned maximum bonus points. Eze must’ve been fuming!
• Dreams of survival have become nightmares of reality for GoFys and Whiskey, both suffered heavy defeats and now know that they will be playing third tier fantasy football next season.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Barons -v- De Bruyne Trousers ► 5th -v- 2nd
GW7: 38 – 37 // GW16: 46 – 21 // GW25: 43 – 88

😬 The Run-In 🕒🕑🕐
The Championship is hosting the hottest promotion run-in this season. The title is far from decided, and any three from the top five could be joining the Elite in August.
IB Lausig made the double gameweek look easy against a doomed WDB, but have an incredibly difficult game next weekend against title rivals ATC. The fourth-placed side, currently sitting just outside the playoffs on FPts total, play two of the top three in their next two games, but DBT (2nd) and Prelim (3rd) still have to meet once more in the final week.
Outside the top four but not forgotten – Barons could, in theory, still win the title. Certainly, a top three place is attainable if results go their way. It will require taking points from Best-ish challengers DBT though. That said, a win for Barons next week will rock the league and add a lot of pressure on the top four.

League One

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• PELTIER ARE LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! The Best-ish #1’s have taken the trophy early with an incredible run of eleven games without defeat.
• The Phenoms beat AFC Chester, all but guaranteeing a top three place. ATT also win and stay one point ahead in second.
• East Loop United have made it very difficult for Borussia Teeth to get above eighth. Bernardo Silva was the hero with his opening goal against Villa.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
The Phenoms -v- Peltier ► 3rd -v- 1st
GW7: 30 – 50 // GW16: 45 – 44 // GW25: 34 – 60

😬 The Run-In 🕒🕑🕐
We know one team that is going to the Championship over the summer, but we won’t know who will be joining them for at least a couple of weeks. Alleviate the Tedium have a nose in front and much easier games over the next two weekends – they’ve won all six games against Borussia Teeth and SkyPlayerInFPL so far this season, but The Phenoms have beaten Peltier before and can do it again. The question may be whether or not Peltier will be presenting their best eleven, or focusing on the postseason.

League Two

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Tino’s Legacy had a great weekend, beating the league leaders and watching Boudi’s Crew slip up again to AI-Jiggery-Pokery.
• That huge score from AI-Jiggery-Pokery also moved them above Flubbing Yanks and level on points with Jaysokker, just five matchpoints behind them.
• There are five teams just three points apart, all fighting to get above the IML and get into the Champions League from fourth place.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Flubbing Yanks -v- Jaysokker ► 6th -v- 4th
GW7: 40 – 57 // GW16: 42 – 38 // GW25: 46 – 30

😬 The Run-In 🕒🕑🕐
Gameweek 34 in League Two pits the top three against the bottom three. Boudi’s Crew have won all three games against Partey Time, whilst the other two have stumbled against their opponents before. If there’s going to be a shake-up in the top three, Sham’s Army are going to have to drop all nine points, otherwise they may get promotion next Thursday, possibly even the title.

Dynasty League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• It seems to happen a lot this season – the top three all lost.
• TrevAI nearly doubled Spray’s score and climbed up into the prize places.
• Kings of the double gameweek, Wonder Struijk win the game of the week and rein in RWB, albeit for just one gameweek.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Tino’s Legacy -v- TrevAI – 4th -v- 3rd
GW7: 126.75 – 72.75 // GW16: 117.5 – 82.5 // GW25: 104 – 106.75

😬 The Run-In 🕔🕓🕒🕑🕐
Tight at the top, league still divided in half. The top two play very well-performing sides next weekend, and Tino face Trev with one team guaranteed to hold third place, possibly second.

The Belyea Memorial Cup
Welcome back to The Belyea Memorial Cup!
“Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms”
Everyone is a winner (except one).
In rememberance of a former BFFA manager, fantasy football hero, Liverpool fan, father and friend to many. We are grateful that he was a part of our league and touched so many lives.
The game is simple – if you get the best score of the remaining teams, you escape.
Each week (at least) one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent!
And we’re down to the final two. This week, Sporting Wicker Park put up a massive Belyea score of 74 to exit the tournament in style. Partey Time were second with a respectable 52 FPts and WdB scored 28.
Final week: Partey Time -v- Whiskey De Bruyne |

The Big One
It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football
that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of £150 million.
These teams must have no more than three players from the same PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one).
Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season.
This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.
Last season The Big One was won by Prestige Worldwide, a subsidiary of The Premier League’s El Dude Bros, and The One Cup was won by Alleviate the Tedium.
This season’s One Cup begins Gameweek 34. Fixtures below.
This week’s top teams:
1) Rover Cowley FC
90 Fantasy Points
2) Gloopy Yarbles
88 FPts
3) Never N’Dyioubt
86 FPts
4) HLAB
81 FPts
5) Smoky Bacon Athletic

Postseason
The postseason is now on the horizon, and as we approach it, we will give you more and more details as the landscape takes shape.
The final two weeks of the season will offer every team something to play for. Your final league position (after GW36), and any appearances in the Finals of the CL/IML/Cup, will determine which of these mini-tournaments you can compete in.

What you can see above is that the four League Champions will go into a pool for the bonus Champions of Champions title. They will also face the Champions League winners (Gloopy Yarbles) and the BFFA Cup winners too.
The teams finishing second and third will play in a two-week Runners-Up pool. They will be joined by the CL runners-up, the BFFA Cup runners-up and the IML winners.
Going into next season’s Champions League will be:
⚽ The top three teams from each league,
⚽ The Champions League holders (Gloopy Yarbles)
⚽ The BFFA Cup winners (TBC)
⚽ Plus two more from the Champions League Qualifiers.
The CLQ‘s are set to feature the four fourth-placed teams. They will be paired off into 2x two-legged play-off matches, the winners of which will qualify for the 2025 CL.
The Champions League winners are also going to finish in the top three of the Premier League, therefore we will need a reserve to fill in the gap. The topscoring fourth-placed finisher will automatically be entered into the 2025CL First Round, and a place in the CLQ will go to the highest-scoring team that hasn’t yet qualified. (See the reserve list in the graphic above).
Should the BFFA Cup winners also finish in the top four in their league, then another CLQ place will become available for one of our reservists.
Next season’s Intramural League actually begins in GW37 with the four teams in each league who finish 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. The postseason will have a knockout for each league to put one team through to the Quarter-Finals next season.
And there will be another wooden spoon tournament this season too. The bottom two teams from each league will be put into a pool in GW37; the two lowest-scoring sides will play in a GW38 final where the loser gets the spoon.
Finally, there will also be the excitement of the Playoffs. After GW36, the top two go up and the bottom two go down. The third-best and third-worst of neighbouring leagues will fight across two gameweeks for the right to take the final promotion/survival place. The previous playoff results can be found on the Competitions page.
Hopefully that explains the basics of the postseason. There may be some overlaps in the mini-tourneys, for example – if the CL winners (Gloopy Yarbles) finish in the top four (quite likely), then a reserve will be needed to fill the space in next season’s Champions League Draw. That reserve place will go to the highest-scoring team that hasn’t yet qualified for the Champions League, so keep an eye on the best-ish table towards the end of Gameweek 36 for potential new entrants.
Of course, you won’t need to look at the league tables on the app after GW36, but the Best-ish tournament will rage on until the end of GW38, so keep trading, signing and setting your teams right through to the end.
I think that’s all for now.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the season!
