A low-scoring week, several very close games, plus the BFFA Cup Quarter-Finals alongside.

Premier League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
🎉 With eight games left and Smash & Grab unable to reach the summit, Gloopy Yarbles are officially guaranteed a top-three finish and will be going to the Champions League in August.
• Surprising wins for Spray and HLAB, who have both spent time at the bottom of the league, meant that they have climbed higher at the expense of others. Spray end a 4-game losing streak; HLAB extend to 5W.
• Gnonto Seed have also moved up a place, goals from Raúl Jiménez and Heung-min Son gave them an 11-point win and returns them to fifth, just a win away from moving up to a potential season-high fourth-place.
• While the gap between the top two is unrivalled in any other league (except maybe the real Prem), the battle at the bottom is a lot closer than anyone predicted. Sporting Wicker Park are still very capable of reclaiming seventh, as are the two teams above them. In fact, with just nine points between fourth and ninth, the Champions League Qualifying place is entirely up for grabs.

Championship

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• IB Lausig got lucky with Maddison’s yellow card and Vicario’s omission, and were carried to a tenth win in eleven, albeit in unspectacular fashion.
• Top of the League De Bruyne Trousers also snuck in a one-point win to stay on top, and they needed it. ATC got a clean sweep against Whiskey De Bruyne (and their sixth consecutive win against the newly-promoted side).
• Preliminary Version’s 100th League match ended in defeat. Somehow Darwin (10), João Pedro (9) and Tosin (7) wasn’t enough against GoFys. The fight for survival continues.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Atletico Topo Chico -v- De Bruyne Trousers ► 2nd -v- 1st

League One

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• AFC Chester continue their great run of form and get themselves up into the top half of the league for the first time this season, getting their first-ever win over SkyPlayer and stealing their spot. For last season’s L2 runners-up, it’s their first week in the bottom half of L1.
• Speaking of good form, Peltier are the BFFA’s most in-form team, now up to 6 wins straight with a hugely impressive 40-point win.
• Alleviate the Tedium lost a second game and it severely hampered their title challenge. East Loop United are still pushing for an escape from the red zone, and they needed three points to keep pace with Borussia Teeth this week.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
The Phenoms -v- Alleviate the Tedium ► 3rd -v- 2nd
GW2: 37 – 53 // GW11: 41 – 41 // GW20: 43 – 29

League Two

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Evanilson has scored in both starts for the Cherries since returning from injury, and helped Tino’s Legacy to establish their dominance over Jaysokker. Palmer’s penalty miss made the difference between Jaysokker being a point from third and Tino’s Leg going seven points clear.
• The top two also won again – Boudi by a lot, Sham by a little. But a win is a win is a win.
• An unusually low-scoring week for BattleVAR keeps them from moving up to eighth, but promotion is still viable with eight games to go.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Tino’s Legacy -v- Boudi’s Crew ► 3rd -v- 1st
GW2: 43 – 47 // GW11: 34 – 40 // GW20: 47 – 54

Dynasty League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Payback for Barefoot in the Commissioner Derby by beating Peltier, who nine gameweeks ago had beat them by the smallest possible denominator – 0.25pts! It’s the first Grand Slam of the Dynasty League, and moves RWB one step closer to the title.
• The brains behind Tino’s Legacy are having a great time in 2025. Up to third in both Dynasty and League Two (up from 10th in the latter). They return to the prize places and are once again eyeing up the silver medal position.
• Unfortunately for long-time leaders HJC, their strikers let the fans down. Haaland and co. were outscored 3-0 by Cucurella, Son and Sarr. There was bad news for Wonder Strijk too as the three teams above them also gained three points this week.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:

The Belyea Memorial Cup
Welcome back to The Belyea Memorial Cup!
“Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms”
Everyone is a winner (except one).
In rememberance of a former BFFA manager, fantasy football hero, Liverpool fan, father and friend to many. We are grateful that he was a part of our league and touched so many lives.
The game is simple – if you get the best score of the remaining teams, you escape.
Each week at least one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent!
Bigger than Brolin were third-best in Gameweek 4 with 53FPts and sixth-best in GW14 with 52. But this week, with another 53, BtB break out and leave the final eight to slog it out.
Remaining: | 8 teams | |

East Loop United FC (44FPts) GoFYSFC (40) Harambe Hotspur (37) | Partey Time FC (27) Sporting Wicker Park (36) StillluvQPR (18) | Vanishing Spray FC (44) Whiskey De Bruyne (33) |
The Big One
It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football
that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of £150 million.
These teams must have no more than three players from the same PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one).
Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season.
This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.
Last season The Big One was won by Prestige Worldwide, a subsidiary of The Premier League’s El Dude Bros, and The One Cup was won by Alleviate the Tedium.
This week’s top teams:
=1) Gnonto Seed
74 Fantasy Points
=1) Goleta Hotspur
74 FPts
3) The Phenoms
71 FPts
4) Sporting Wicker Park
69 FPts
5) Mighty fine feeling
68 FPts
Postseason
The postseason is now on the horizon, and as we approach it, we will give you more and more details as the landscape takes shape.
The final two weeks of the season will offer every team something to play for. Your final league position (after GW36), and any appearances in the Finals of the CL/IML/Cup, will determine which of these mini-tournaments you can compete in.

What you can see above is that the four League Champions will go into a pool for the bonus Champions of Champions title. They will also face the Champions League winners (Gloopy Yarbles) and the BFFA Cup winners too.
The teams finishing second and third will play in a two-week Runners-Up pool. They will be joined by the CL runners-up, the BFFA Cup runners-up and the IML winners.
Going into next season’s Champions League will be:
⚽ The top three teams from each league,
⚽ The Champions League holders (Gloopy Yarbles)
⚽ The BFFA Cup winners (TBC)
⚽ Plus two more from the Champions League Qualifiers.
The CLQ‘s are set to feature the four fourth-placed teams. They will be paired off into 2x two-legged play-off matches, the winners of which will qualify for the 2025 CL.
The Champions League winners are also going to finish in the top three of the Premier League, therefore we will need a reserve to fill in the gap. The topscoring fourth-placed finisher will automatically be entered into the 2025CL First Round, and a place in the CLQ will go to the highest-scoring team that hasn’t yet qualified. (See the reserve list in the graphic above).
Should the BFFA Cup winners also finish in the top four in their league, then another CLQ place will become available for one of our reservists.
Next season’s Intramural League actually begins in GW37 with the four teams in each league who finish 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. The postseason will have a knockout for each league to put one team through to the Quarter-Finals next season.
And there will be another wooden spoon tournament this season too. The bottom two teams from each league will be put into a pool in GW37; the two lowest-scoring sides will play in a GW38 final where the loser gets the spoon.
Finally, there will also be the excitement of the Playoffs. After GW36, the top two go up and the bottom two go down. The third-best and third-worst of neighbouring leagues will fight across two gameweeks for the right to take the final promotion/survival place. The previous playoff results can be found on the Competitions page.
Hopefully that explains the basics of the postseason. There may be some overlaps in the mini-tourneys, for example – if the CL winners (Gloopy Yarbles) finish in the top four (quite likely), then a reserve will be needed to fill the space in next season’s Champions League Draw. That reserve place will go to the highest-scoring team that hasn’t yet qualified for the Champions League, so keep an eye on the best-ish table towards the end of Gameweek 36 for potential new entrants.
Of course, you won’t need to look at the league tables on the app after GW36, but the Best-ish tournament will rage on until the end of GW38, so keep trading, signing and setting your teams right through to the end.
I think that’s all for now.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the season!
