Premier League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• There was a couple of tasty three-pointers in the Premier League this week, one of them was our One to Watch – El Dude & mighty Fine. That opening goal by Emilie Smith-Rowe at Craven Cottage earned them the win, and it was made all the sweeter by second-placed Housewives giving up points to Gloopy Yarbles again.
• Smash & Grab come from behind to defeat Marmoush & co., climb two places up to fourth. Champions League dreams aplenty 🤩

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:

Championship

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• DBT do it again with another giant score. They open up a comfortable space ahead of Barons and are now just eight matchpoints below #1 Gloopy Yarbles in the Best-ish running.
• ASG move up a place as IBL lose to ATC.
• BTB move up to seventh despite losing to bottom side GoFys.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
All Star Gunners -v- De Bruyne Trousers
4th -v- 1st // GW8: 45 – 62 // GW17: 24 – 48

League One

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Peltier get even closer to taking control in the Bestish tourney with a 60 this week. They are four points closer, and thrashed The Phenoms for good measure.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
SkyPlayerInFPL -v- Alleviate the Tedium
4th -v- 1st // GW8: 45 – 50 // GW17: 35 – 65

League Two

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• It was a tale of the 38’s in GW25. Partey Time lost to 1st plce with a score of 38, while 2nd-placed Shams Army won with the same score. Meanwhile, 3rd-placed Tino and last place Harambe couldn’t be separated after finishing on the score. A point for each, but not as much as either needed.
• We said last week that AIJP v SKM would be a good’un. Wasn’t that a blinder?!
KhilMaan had hit AI for 81 in September, and thrashed them again just before Christmas. Normally a score of 50 would all but guarantee a win (120 of 125 losing scores <50FPts), but not this week, not when AI have Marmoush and Watkins repeatedly finding the net! AI now level on 39 points.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Sporting KhilMaan -v- Jaysokker
4th -v- 5th // GW8: 26 – 25 // GW17: 32 – 51

Dynasty League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Tino’s Legacy see off TrevAI in one of the tightest matches of the season.
• We’ve a new league leader for the first time in over 20 gameweeks. HJC took Vanishing Spray all the way to the final whistle, outscoring them 26.25 to 3.00 in the extra 90 mins, but fell just a goal short in the end.
• Last week we had a match which totalled 299.75. This week we finally broke the 300-pt mark when Mo Salah and Ollie Watkins steered RWB and Gloopy Yarbles all the way in to the record books. 313.75, setting the bar very high.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Gloopy Yarbles -v- Peltier
8th -v- 3rd // GW8: 108.25 – 122 // GW17: 138 – 138.5

The Belyea Memorial Cup

Welcome back to The Belyea Memorial Cup!
“Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms”
Everyone is a winner (except one).

In rememberance of a former BFFA manager, fantasy football hero, Liverpool fan, father and friend to many. We are grateful that he was a part of our league and touched so many lives.

The game is simple – if you get the best score of the remaining teams, you escape.
Each week at least one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent!

AI-Jiggery-Pokery were League Two’s topscoring team in GW4, and got the win by beating the second-best team that week (Tino’s Legacy 51-46). Unfortunately for them, it was early in the season and four other teams outscored them. Prelim and BTB also played a 1v2 in the Championship (55-53), but even they were outplayed by Route 57 FC (57FPts).

Twenty-plus weeks later, AI-JP owned League Two again and (despite DBT overshadowing them), 86 FPts was miles better than the field here. They leave with their pride intact. The game goes on with twelve.

Remaining:12 teams
AFC Chester (54Fpts)
Atletico Topo Chico (52)
Bigger Than Brolin (46)
East Loop United FC (49)
GoFYSFC (52)
Harambe Hotspur (38)
Partey Time FC (38)
Sporting Wicker Park (36)
StillluvQPR (49)
Tino’s Legacy (38)
Vanishing Spray FC (21)

The Big One

It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football
that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of £150 million.

These teams must have no more than three players from the same PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one).

Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season.
This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.

Last season The Big One was won by Prestige Worldwide, a subsidiary of The Premier League’s El Dude Bros, and The One Cup was won by Alleviate the Tedium.
