Premier League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Gloopy’s win streak was terminated as they were held by Gnonto Seed. The eighth-placed side are now within striking distance of seventh. Fortunately for the Yarbles, Housewives Favourite couldn’t bring themselves any closer to reaching them.
Mighty Fine haven’t topscored overall since the last gameweek of Season 9, but another second-best gave them an incredible win over a strong Smash & Grab this week. Expect more of the same when they meet in the Cup in two weeks time.
Vanishing Spray got an important win over midtable rivals Route 57. Newcastle’s smooth ride at home against a faltering Wolves pulled in good numbers for Dúbravka, Burn and Bruno G. Spray now fourth and chasing.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
El Dude Bros -v- Smash & Grab

Championship

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• To re-use that famous post🔗 from Chelsea.com in 2017, IB Lausig are enjoying a long unbeaten run in the league. It has lifted them all the way from sixth to sixth. That’s primarily because the three teams above us keep winning too and it’s getting annoying! 😅
• Barons have every right to feel hard done by after they were robbed by Diallo Amad’s late, late hat-trick. The silver lining for them is that ATC and ASG beneath them both lost too. Bigger than Brolin and Preliminary Version enjoying important wins that tighten up the midtable.
De Bruyne Trousers win another De Bruyne derby and put some breathing distance between themselves and second. Next is their Cup Second Round opponents IB Lausig.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
All Star Gunners -v- Barons

League One

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• The third tier isn’t often described as the most exciting league in any ladder, but here we have front row seats to a very interesting tussle at the top. Alleviate the Tedium return to the driving seat after four weeks off the pace. The top three sit just one point apart tonight.
• Losses for StillluvQPR and East Loop United gave Goleta Hotspur more joy this week. Their shock win over the league leaders brought them three points closer to ELU and a potential escape from the relegation zone.
• The third-highest-scoring game of the season caused The Phenoms to lose their place in the Champions League Qualifier position. 31 from Isak and Iwobi combined to give Borussia Teeth 72 matchpoints, 13 better than The Phenoms (who had four players scoring 9+).

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Alleviate the Tedium -v- Peltier
1st -v- 2nd // GW4: 39 – 23 // GW13: 29 – 38
➤ Top two battle.
➤ Winner takes 1st place.
➤ One win each previously.
➤ GW23: Rematch in the Cup!

League Two

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• We should have highlighted Tino’s vs. BattleVAR for this gameweek. With just one matchpoint difference between their totals, it promised to be a close one, and that’s exactly how it played out. Mateta (Tino) matched Lacroix (BattleVAR) exactly on 33BPS, earning both +2 bonus points. A single skill point for either could have completely altered the outcome. As it was, the Legacy move into the top three for the first time this season.
• Speaking of Third Place, there are FOUR teams level on 36 points today, and two of them play again immediately after the one-day break. Sporting KhilMaan thrash Harambe and move level with the rest. AI-Jiggery-Pokery also win and join the melee.
Shams Army close in on Boudi’s Crew. 60 FPts the best in the league again.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
AI-Jiggery-Pokery -v- Tino’s Legacy
6th -v- 3rd // GW4: 51 – 46 // GW13: 25 – 28
➤ Not just a six-pointer, also a Second Round Cup tie preview.

Dynasty League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Haven’t Jota Clue lost! Still nine points clear of the field. Tino’s Legacy having a brilliant week, keep the top half of the league on their toes.
Gloopy Yarbles move up to sixth. Best-placed to cross the divide between the two hemispheres. Unfortunately still a long way to fifth.
Peltier survive a late onslaught from Waikauri Bay. Diallo registers 42.75 on Thursday; Mainoo only -0.75. Peltier remain just a win behind second place.

The Belyea Memorial Cup

Welcome back to The Belyea Memorial Cup!
“Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms”
Everyone is a winner (except one).

In rememberance of a former BFFA manager, fantasy football hero, Liverpool fan, father and friend to many. We are grateful that he was a part of our league and touched so many lives.

The game is simple – if you get the best score of the remaining teams, you escape.
Each week at least one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent!

It’s an early birthday present for yours truly! IB Lausig came third overall (outplayed by Borussia Teeth, with their first TotW this season, and mighty Fine), but that bunch of misfits were the best of the remainers this midweek and earned a Belyea exit. That’s one less thing to worry about and a couple less grey hairs for now.

Remaining:16 teams

AI-Jiggery-Pokery

The Big One

It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football
that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of £150 million.

These teams must have no more than three players from the same PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one).

Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season.
This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.

Last season The Big One was won by Prestige Worldwide, a subsidiary of The Premier League’s El Dude Bros, and The One Cup was won by Alleviate the Tedium.
