Premier League

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• We’ve a new Score of the Season, and there’s no surprise where it came from – the great managerial minds behind Gloopy Yarbles have smashed the previous top score and put themselves top of the Best-ish rankings. Second consecutive TotW, third this season.
Sporting Wicker Park leapfrog HLAB with a 5-point victory and regain fourth.
El Dude and Route 57 also move up with wins this weekend. Could climb up to fourth and fifth if results go their way next weekend.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Housewives Favourite -v- Sporting Wicker Park
2nd -v- 4th // GW4: 52 – 50

Championship

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• A big shake-up at the top of the Championship. The top five exchanged positions, all sit within a point of each other tonight!
All Star Gunners and Barons with 60+ scores move up to 1st and 3rd, respectively.
De Bruyne Trousers retain their status as the Gunner-Barons sandwich filling. With a sixth De Bruyne Derby victory (and a third this season alone), they also move up two places.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Barons -v- All Star Gunners
3rd -v- 1st // GW4: 48 – 34

League One

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• High-scoring Peltier continue strongly, despite being overtaken by Gloopy for the Best-ish.
Alleviate TT back to winning ways after a stumble last week. Still cruising at the top of the league.
Slots Fired move up into the play-off place with a 10-point win.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Peltier -v- Alleviate the Tedium
2nd -v- 1st // GW4: 23 – 39

League Two

😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
Sporting KhilMaan are upto EIGHT consecutive wins. They haven’t lost since Flubbing Yanks took the win in GW4. If that can be avenged next weekend, ‘Khil & ‘Maan will get their first Grand Slam.
• Valley Village FC rebrand as Partey Time FC, instantly results in a win over title-chasers Shams army.
• Once again, we have three teams level on points at the top. Boudi’s Crew hold the steering wheel, but have a difficult game on Friday.

🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Jaysokker -v- Boudi’s Crew
3rd -v- 1st // GW4: 29 – 28

The BFFA Dynasty League

Drama in Gameweek 12! The first draw of the BFFA Dynasty saw Jaysokk and paulmcanulty share the points. Spray missed out on a potential move up to seventh, losing despite getting the second-best score in the league. HJC win yet again, remain comfortably nine points clear at the top.

The Belyea Memorial Cup

Welcome back to The Belyea Memorial Cup!
“Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms”
Everyone is a winner (except one).

In rememberance of a former BFFA manager, fantasy football hero, Liverpool fan, father and friend to many. We are grateful that he was a part of our league and touched so many lives.

The game is simple – if you get the best score of the remaining teams, you escape.
Each week at least one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent!

Scoring one point better than Preliminary Version last week, Barons exit The Belyea with an impressive 67 FPts.

The Big One

It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of £150 million.
These teams must have no more than three players from the same PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one).

Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season. This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.

Last season The Big One was won by Prestige Worldwide, a subsidiary of The Premier League’s El Dude Bros, and The One Cup was won by Alleviate the Tedium.

On top of hosting a league for the BFFA faithful, we are also involving some unsuspecting stars of the game in our classic league. This week:

Love it or hate it, the International Break creates news. Amazing stories like the world’s lowest-ranked nation, San Marino, gaining promotion to the third tier of the UEFA Nation’s League with their first-ever away win, and the first time they’ve scored three in a game. Nicola Nanni’s 66th-minute penalty made him San Marino’s all-time top goalscorer, with three.

In a bit of a tenuous link, someone who has once scored a first-half hat-trick against little San Marino (12′ 27′ & 45+1′ at Hampden Park, 13th Oct. 2019) also made the news in the Nations League last weekend. Villa’s John McGinn scored the only goal in a Nations League game against Croatia and moved past Ally McCoist to become Scotland’s fifth all-time top goalscorer. 73 caps, 20 goals, one very happy Scot.

John McGinn returned to the Premier League with an assist for Ollie Watkins. He hasn’t picked himself to play for the Meatballers since the injury he picked up in GW5 against Wolves, but he has kept faith in teammates Martinez, Rogers and Tielemans. If you’re only allowed three, that’s a pretty good three. Let’s see how they fare against Juventus on Wednesday before the Stamford Bridge six-pointer.
