Appropriately, the eleventh Gameweek of our eleventh Season fell on Remembrance Sunday.
In games all around the world, in multiple sports, events and activities, we marked the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended the First World War. We honour those who have served our countries and we remember those who laid down their lives so that we may live ours the way we choose.
We remember here that there are things in this world that are far greater, far more important than the games we play and the entertainment we watch on TV. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we are grateful for the things that we have, the opportunities that are afforded to us, and the enjoyment we get from these freedoms.
Thank you.

Team of the Week:
Gloopy Yarbles (2nd time)
70 points
Top Score of the Season:

Game of the Season:
Goleta Hotspur 54 – 76 SkyPlayerInFPL (GW7)
Best Streak:
Alleviate the Tedium – WWWWW WWWWD
Premier League
😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• You don’t have to look very far to see why Gloopy Yarbles are top of the League. Mo Salah, Wissa and Cunha alone would have outscored twenty-one BFFA teams. For Gloopy, it meant they beat a team that scored 54, and become the first side this season to get to ten wins.
• With ten points from the last four games, mighty Fine have shot up from 10th to 3rd!
• HLAB and Spray, both formerly in third place, also climbed up again.

Championship
😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Trent’s 24th-minute departure seems to have cost De Bruyne Trousers not just some game-winning clean sheet points, but cost them three places too.
• Preliminary Version‘s massive 66 allow them to take that vacant top spot and move past 500 FPts too.
• When we get back from the international break, the Championship will have FIVE teams within a win of each other.
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
All Star Gunners -v- Preliminary Version
3rd -v- 1st // GW 3: 45 – 49
League One
😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Alleviate the Tedium maintain their ten-game unbeaten record, albeit with a draw against The Phenoms. Had goalscorer Pablo Sarabia gained just one more BPS, then we would be celebrating a tenth consecutive win for ATT.
• Peltier close the gap on the top with another big score
• Unlike the league leaders, East Loop United did actually get that one point they needed for a win (albeit avoided further yellow cards), but despite winning this week, they moved down one place due to Borssia Teeth‘s big score against SkyPlayer!
🫣 Next Week’s One to Watch:
Goleta Hotspur -v- Peltier
9th -v- 2nd // GW 3: 27 – 65
League Two
😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• A barnburner in midtable left BattleVAR exhausted and wishing they had faced anyone else this weekend, but unfortunately the met the only team that bettered them – those Flubbing Yanks.
• There was another massive fall from the dizzy heights – Shams Army dropped three places after facing a dominant Sporting KhilMann.
• Jaysokker stole a win from Valley Village as their subs came on at the final whistle. Ten points added, won by one, and that made the differnce between first and fourth.

The Belyea Memorial Cup
Welcome back to The Belyea Memorial Cup!
“Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms”
Everyone is a winner (except one).
In rememberance of a former BFFA manager, fantasy football hero, Liverpool fan, father and friend to many. We are grateful that he was a part of our league and touched so many lives.
The game is simple – if you get the best score of the remaining teams, you escape.
Each week at least one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent!
66 is enough to topscore in most weeks. This week it was beaten by the phenomenal Gloopy Yarbles in fine form, but it was still good enough for Preliminary Version to take the top spot in the Championship and take their name out of this season’s Belyea.

The Big One
It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of £150 million.
These teams must have no more than three players from the same PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one).
Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season. This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.
Last season The Big One was won by Prestige Worldwide, a subsidiary of The Premier League’s El Dude Bros, and The One Cup was won by Alleviate the Tedium.
This week’s top scorers:
1) De Bruyne Trousers –
82 Fantasy Points
2) Prestige Worldwide –
80 FPts
3) Never N’Dyioubt –
78 FPts
4) Peltier –
69 FPts
=5) Gloopy Yarbles –
66 FPts
=5) Sporting Wicker Park –
66 FPts
On top of hosting a league for the BFFA faithful, we are also involving some unsuspecting stars of the game in our classic league. This week we take a step back and look into the Championship and one of the hopefuls trying to get into the Premier League next season.
Mr. Josh Coburn is having a rollercoaster season already. He scored in Middlesbrough’s second game of the season against Leeds United in the EFL Cup. Boro won 3-0. In the next round, he and Boro were knocked out, 5-0, by Stoke City.
Four days later, he appeared in the blues of Millwall and scored on his debut at The Den. Unfortunately, 34 minutes into the next game away at Luton, Josh Coburn limped off injured and missed the following seven games.
Coburn is now back on the field. He made two appearances off the bench after Hallowe’en, coming on both times in the second half to replace Macauley Langstaff, the player who replaced him at Kenilworth Road, and this weekend he made his way back to the starting line-up. It took him 42 minutes to open the scoring, and it was away at Stoke City, the team that had knocked his parent club out of the League Cup.
Next week, Millwall host league leaders Sunderland AFC.
But, while we break for the internationals, here is a link to Josh C’s FPL side – josh c.
