Team of the Week:
Allison Wonderland
75 Points
Score of the Season:
Hung Like a Bony – 87 FPts (GW7)
Game of the Season:
Smash & Grab 70 – 61 Gloopy Yarbles (GW6)
Premier League
😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• That League Table… 😲😲😲 – Six teams, one point, fourteen weeks to go 🥵
• Neto and the Barons come back from ten points down to scrape a draw out of their game and prevent Housewives Favourite from returning to the top.
• Twelve weeks ago, Farkelife were eighth and 15 points off the top. Now, after 10 wins in 12, they are just one point shy.
• In their 300th game in the BFFA – the Champions League runners-up Gloopy Yarbles absolutely smashed it. Udogie + Olise + Jesus + Alvarez collaborated for 49 points, more than double the amount that their opponents managed. From ninth in League Two (S6,GW19), the Yarbles finally reached the summit. But for how long can they hold on to it?
🫣 The One to Watch:
Smash & Grab -v- Route 57 FC – 4th -v- 5th
GW 5: 35 – 38 // GW 14: 45 – 46
It’s the only matchup within the PL top six this weekend, but it’s a doozy! This season both games have been won by three points or less. Their last match last season finished with exactly the same score – R57 won 38-35! In fact, Route 57 have won the last six meetings. They are currently #2 and #4 in the World and the Premier League top spot could go to the winner of this game.
Championship
😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Four of the top five lose this weekend. Webuiltthis City create some breathing room at the top.
• Allison Wonderland record a huge 60-point win with goals from Bradley, Neto, Richarlison and Alvarez.
• Fergi Time make hard work of their game against ATC. They cling on for a one-point win, leaving Schar sitting at bench #3 with 17 points!
🫣 The One to Watch:
Hung Like a Bony -v- Atletico Topo Chico – 3rd -v- 8th
GW 5: 35 – 42 // GW 14: 33 – 35
Still the top scorers of the Championship, Hung Like a Bony are clearly going to need more than skill to regain the #1 spot. It takes more than just fantasy points to excel in the BFFA, it takes luck and it takes wins, and wins can be difficult to come by against bogey teams like these. Eighth-placed ATC are coming up trumps whenever they meet Hung LaB this season. Can they further de-rail the CL Semi-Finalists this weekend?
League One
😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• Whiskey De Bruyne and Uncle Monty both win and step over Peltier to take the automatic promotion places.
• The second-best scoring team in L1 met the top scorers De Bruyne Trousers. DBT now level with Peltier in third.
• Konstantinos Mavropanos won’t be remembered for his average performance against Bournemouth midweek, but he came off the bench with two and nearly broke BattleVAR‘s unbeaten streak. Luckily for B’VAR, Alex Moreno also came on (with his own goal) and the game finished all-square.
🫣 The One to Watch:
Whiskey De Bruyne -v- Peltier – 1st -v- 3rd
GW 5: 50 – 40 // GW 14: 29 – 58
After agonisingly losing a six-pointer against DBT, Peltier go again just two days later with a matchup against the other De Bruyne – WDB: #1 in L1. They’ve taken three points off of each other already this season. This weekend, Diogo Jota and Luiz Diaz (WDB) are in direct competition with Gabriel Jesus (Peltier) and Neto vs. Nkunku all feature on Sunday afternoon.
League Two
😲 Eye-Catching Stuff:
• The Phenoms couldn’t match SkyPlayer‘s intenso 64; Jaysokker win and draw level at the top of the League.
• Top two now five points clear of third.
• A third draw in the BFFA – Alleviate the Tedium and Harambe Hotspur couldn’t be separated. Harambe’s subs levelled the game 33-each.
🫣 The One to Watch:
Jaysokker -v- The Phenoms – 2nd -v- 1st
GW 5: 43 – 35 // GW 14: 23 – 46
It’s first V second time once again. What will decide this one? In the gameweek just finished, Jaysokker chalked up 45, Phenoms made 44. In four of the last five gameweeks, the pair put up scores of 3 points or less than the other. Both have one win each in their last two encounters. Last week it was The Phenom’s Manchester pairing of Alvarez & Hojlund that scored big (13+10), while Jaysokker’s London-based midfield duo of JWP & Olise (10+16) that did the business for them. Which superstar(s) will shine brighter this weekend?

The Belyea Cup
Welcome back to The Belyea Memorial Cup, ‘Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms’, where everyone is a winner (except one).
The game is simple – if you get the best score of the remaining teams, you escape.
Each week at least one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent!
▲ You get up to 38 gameweeks to remove yourself from consideration. ▲
The last team to be eliminated… gets the Belyea Cup. ▼🏆▼
If there’s more than one team left after the final gameweek then they all, you know, jointly receive this unique award!
With a magnificent 75 fantasy points and a huge reward for their faith in Conor Bradley, Allison Wonderland are the uncontested winners this week and exit the competition.
Week Twenty-Three: 16 teams –
Barons, Housewives Favourite, Route 57 FC, Sporting Wicker Park, A.F.C. Chester, Fergi Time, Vanishing Spray FC, BattleVAR Galactico, FC Santa Barbara, Uncle Monty, Whiskey de Bruyne, Boudi’s Crew, Harambe Hotspur, Jaysokker, Ole’s at the wheel, The Phenoms.
The Big One
It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of £150,000,000. These teams must have no more than three players from any PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one).
Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season – two Wildcards, a Bench Boost, a Free Hit and Triple Captain points. This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.
This week’s top scorers:
Goleta Hotspur – 85 FPts
DCL’s MRI – 83 FPts
De Bruyne Trousers – 72 FPts
Smoky Bacon Athletic – 69 FPts
Ampadu-du-du – 69 FPts
On top of hosting a league for the BFFA faithful, we are also involving some unsuspecting stars of the game in our classic league. This week, the voice and the face of the Fantasy Premier League… Ladies and gents… Kelly Somers.
Kelly Somers is a popular presenter that has been working for a number of networks reporting on football and presenting shows such as Football Focus, Final Score, Match of the Day, The Women’s Football Show and, of course, our very own Official Fantasy Premier League for TV, radio and podcast. For those of you who haven’t found their way there yet – https://www.premierleague.com/official-fpl-podcast/
KSom United are not only outscoring us all, but they are also currently competing in a number of professional leagues, including the very exclusive Inner Circle league with French footy specialist Julien Laurens’ Sambi on Ice, top content creator Sam Bonfield’s Best in Alderweireld and A-grade reporter Ian Irving’s FC Phoenix. The highly-competitive league currently has all four managers well over 1,250 FPts at this stage, meaning that all are in the top 500k; Julien and Kelly sitting happily inside the top 50k.
KSom United are also having a go at The Cycling GK Super League where, despite scoring so highly, they rank 1,405th. The Cycling GK himself is 31,836th in his own league, and you can see how he fits into The Big One early next week!
