57 Points
Score of the Season:

Premier League
π² Eye-Catching Stuff:
β’ Yet again, a one-point win gives us a new league leader. This time it was Housewives Favourite who move to the top of the ladder. After Trippier helped saw Everton score three against Toon, Kulusevski only needed one point for Wives Fave to get the win.
β’ Gloopy topscored with a 12 from Gross and 11 from Jesus to earn them a return to the top three.
β’ Farkelife had a superb week with their 54, but MFF’s win over the league leaders mean that Farkelife remain in eighth.
π«£ The One to Watch:
El Dude Bros -v- Housewives Favourite – 5th v 1st // GW 7: 27 – 36
Bros are in their highest position so far this season and back within reach of the top three, but the top spot is vulnerable as R57 face Barons in 10th, so expect both teams to go into this at full speed.
Championship
π² Eye-Catching Stuff:
β’ A rollercoaster climax to the top-of-the league clash saw Trippier nearly cost Web City the game, but JWP appeared in front of the open goal to steal the win.
β’ The bottom three showed true grit by all winning and closing ground on ATC.
π«£ The One to Watch:
Atletico Topo Chico -v- GoFys FC – 7th v 8th // GW 7: 30 – 32
After a very close game nine weeks ago, these two re-meet just three points apart with potential ramifications over the relegation story.
League One
π² Eye-Catching Stuff:
β’ A two-point win for Whiskey De Bruyne moves them two points up the table.
β’ FC Santa Barbara surprise C&BS; drops them down two places, Uncle Monty move up one.
β’ Peltier remain top after win and now top of the Bestish rankings.
β’ Top five all within three points.
π«£ The One to Watch:
Whiskey De Bruyne -v- Uncle Monty – 2nd v 4th // GW 7: 30 – 38
After both moved up the table midweek, this game is a hugely important fixture for all of the top five. Both teams could in theory be top on Monday if Peltier slip up against C&BS again.
League Two
π² Eye-Catching Stuff:
β’ Harambe dropped three places after defeat to SkyPlayer.
β’ Jaysokker’s win over Alleviate the Tedium puts them three points off the top.
β’ Goleta and OatWheel beat the bottom two to continue scramble for first place.
β’ Again, top five all within three points of each other.
π«£ The One to Watch:
SkyPlayerInFPL BFFA -v- Ole’s at the wheel – 7th v 2nd // GW 7: 26 – 54
The two most in-form teams in the BFFA meet this weekend. Ole’s at the Wheel are back upto second after five straight wins. SkyPlayer have won four and drawn two in the last seven.

The Belyea Cup
Welcome back to The Belyea Memorial Cup, ‘Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms’, where everyone is a winner (except one).
The game is simple – if you get the best score of the remaining teams, you escape.
Each week at least one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent!
β² You get up to 38 gameweeks to remove yourself from consideration. β²
βΌπβΌ The last team to be eliminated… gets the Belyea Cup. βΌπβΌ
If there’s more than one team left after the final gameweek then they all, you know, jointly receive this unique award!
The latest Premier League team to hit the high score are Gloopy Yarbles with an impressive 57 on a low-scoring week.
In Week Sixteen: 24 teams – Barons, Boss, Farkelife, Housewives Favourite, Mighty fine feeling, Route 57 FC, Sporting Wicker Park, AFC Chester, Allison Wonderland, Fergi Time, GoFYS FC, Vanishing Spray FC, BattleVAR Galactico, CG XI, FC Santa Barbara, Uncle Monty, Whiskey de Bruyne, Boudi’s Crew, Harambe Hotspur, Jaysokker, Ole’s at the wheel, SkyPlayerInFPL, The Phenoms.
The Big One
It’s the BFFA Big One. The tried and tested (albeit inferior) traditional form of English Fantasy Football that requires each manager to build a team with a budget of Β£150,000,000. These teams must have no more than three players from any PL club, excessive transfers are penalised by point deductions, and everyone gets a Haaland (if they want one). Every team also gets to pick a Captain and there are bonus chips to play across the season – Wildcards, a Bench Boost, a Free Hit and Triple Captain points. This is a classic-style fantasy league, open to all BFFA managers past and present.
Jaysokker hold on to first place going into the weekend’s football, and pull points away from the five below them. Their closest threat midweek came from a half-century scored by The Phenoms; Bowen, Martinelli and Mbeumo scoring goals for them plus TAA with a massive 12FPts in defence.
Allison Wonderland also made up four places with 49FPts midweek. They also enjoyed the pursuits of Trent Alexander-Arnold, whilst soaking up the fantastic performance from Hwang Hee-chan as he scored the only goal of the game at home to Burnley.
On top of hosting a league for the BFFA faithful, we are also involving some unsuspecting stars of the game in our classic league. This week, a celebrity who hasn’t played in the Premier League, but has played a few charity games across the years. We have with us this week – The Son and Only, as managed by the one and only, Chesney Hawkes!
Chesney is a big West Ham United fan (as demonstrated by his fantasy team’s kit, see above), and he plays FPL in a league featuring last week’s guest Leon Osman, as well as Julien Laurens, Kelly Somers, Chris Sutton, Sam Quek, Jonathan Woodgate and Rob Green, to name but a few. They simultaneously play in a classic points league and a head-to-head league that also features his son, Indiana. Indiana Hawkes is currently managing hawkes hammer, currently seventeen places below his Dad.
Next week, we will continue on a departure away from ex-professional footballers and invite in one of my favourite comedians, a star who played at Old Trafford just hours after her wedding this summer to take to the hallowed turf alongside Ben Foster, Roberto Carlos, Patrice Evra, Nani, Izzy Christiansen, Francesco Totti, HernΓ‘n Crespo and Robbie Keane. She’s a huge Leeds United fan and plays for a team in Brighton herself.
We’re already underway in Gameweek 16, so I will wish you well. I’ve already had Salah score 10 against me. I’m gonna close my eyes and hope that Haaland can return the favour tomorrow π
Have a great weekend. π₯³
