The Belyea Cup

In memory of Bryan and all the work he did for the football community, you have all been entered into the inaugural Belyea Cup, Rewarding Excellence in Its Many Forms.
Everyone is a winner, except one.
The game is simple – if you get the best score of the teams that are still in, you escape.
Each week at least one team gets out, sometimes more, because they are excellent.
The last team to be eliminated… gets the Belyea Cup. If there’s more than one team left after the final gameweek then they all, you know, jointly receive this unique award!

With a Week One score of almost twice the average, De Bruyne Trousers are the first to be eliminated. Well done.

The Postseason Format

The 4 Champions will play a Champion of Champions Knockout.

The Runners-Up, the Third Placed teams, plus the BFFA Cup Winners and the Champions League Winners play a two-week pool. Most points win.

There will be two Champions League Qualifying games for the following season. The four 4th-placed teams will take part, unless the CL Winners and/or the Cup Winners finish in the top four. If that happens, then the fourth-placed team in that league qualifies for the Champions League Group Stage. Replacements come from the Best-ish table.

Any remaining 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th placed teams will play in the Intramural League Qualifiers.
One team from each League will qualify.

The 9th and 10th placed teams play to avoid the Wooden Spoon.
GW37: Pool, all eight in. Worst two play in the final. GW38: Head-to-head. Worst score gets the Spoon.

AND, of course, there will be three Promotion Playoffs again.
