The IML Quarter-Finals – Part Deux

And then there was four…

There it is – four teams safely into the Semi-Finals. Drafty were seemingly through after the first match, but added another five-point win on top, just to make sure. Wijnaldum Leviosa matched ASG’s 38 from last week, but the All Star Gunners took them to the wire with a 37. Despite a one-point loss, ASG won the tie on aggregate and set up an all-Premier League Semi-Final tie against Drafty. The Bestish’s #2 side beat ASG 45-23 in the League in GW6, and 3/4 times in the PL last season too; the Gunners will be hoping for an outcome more like the two games that they played out in the Champions League group stage in 2019 – ASG beat Drafty 36-35 in both games!

From the tied game, Ole’s at the Wheel emerged victorious after another low-scoring matchup. Both teams lost their League games; OatWheel by a lot, SWP by just two. In the other game, Jaysokker built on their one-point lead to knock out SB Town and prevent them adding another trophy to their cabinet. So Jaysokker go into the Semi-Final as the only surviving team from the First Round. They will face Ole’s at the Wheel, a team that joined the BFFA in the same year. The two both played in the first National League season, where OatWheel won three of their four meetings, and last season’s League Two, where Jaysokker won three of those five matches.
