Presenting the results for the First Leg of the Intramural Quarter Finals.
Three really close games in the First Leg of the Quarter Finals. None closer than the game between the Championship leaders Sporting Wicker Park and League One promotion hopefuls Ole’s at the Wheel. Despite having differing League fortunes, they both played out the week for a score of 32.
Jaysokker overturned a one-point deficit in the last round to qualify for the QF’s. This time they’ve taken a one-point lead into the turnaround, but will have to hold on to it away from home against the Premier League challengers if they’re to make the final four.
Bouncing around midtable, Wijnaldum Leviosa are currently 5-5 in the Championship, whilst their opponents All Star Gunners are now on a 5-game losing streak in the Premier League. Jarrod Bowen kept Wijnaldum in the tie with five minutes of glory that led to a goal and a blocked-shot-assist against Aston VIlla, but ASG finished the game nine points ahead. Leviosa will go into the return match confident with a superior points tally, but will need a couple of scores to level the tie.
Finally, Vanishing Spray against Drafty… Well, I’ve seen bigger comebacks.
