The 2019 IML – First Round

Round One, First Leg

The winner of this season’s IML will get $50 and qualify for the Champions League First Round next season. As it stands, Tiger Tail would qualify automatically for the CL Second Round anyway; they lead League Two, six points clear at the top, despite losing to BattleVAR in the League earlier this week. AC Reykjavik would appreciate the opportunity to qualify through the IML as they are really struggling in the ‘Toughest Fantasy League in the World’ at the moment. As it stands, they would be relegated to the Championship. As it stands.

GoFYS and StilluvQPR have met once before, last year QPR knocked GoFYS out of the BFFA Cup 54-40 in the Second Round. This week GoFYS took one step towards returning the favour with a 12-point win “at home” (wherever home may be).

Cornballers and SB Town had a memorable season together in 2016/17. They played each other four times in the Premier League. The first two times they met both games were drawn, 50-all and 44-all. SB Town went on to win the League and Cornallers got relegated from eighth place. Their biggest meeting was undoubtably the Champions League Final in December 2016. That weekend SB Town won their third title after beating Cornballers in a 44-41 thriller.
The closest game of the First Round sees SB Town going into the second leg only five matchpoints behind Cornballers.

Bigo1 have never played Sugar Daddies before, so naturally, being fully aware of this important meeting, they came out all guns blazing. The won the game by fourteen points and go into the second leg with one foot in the Quarter Finals. Fourteen points will a huge hurdle to overcome.
