Season 5 – Gameweek 38 Results

The results are in!

Premier League

Even a blind squirrel and all that as Vanishing Spray claims its first ever BFFA Premier title by squeaking a draw out against Brolin, coupled with a big Money loss to relegated East Loop, who continued to play to the end. A great race all season long up here and the ending was no different. FCSB beat S&G to qualify for the CL next season.

Short-lived Prem lives for Unicorns and Chucky (again). East Loop being relegated for the first time, and I think that leaves Spray and Bigo as the lone “Original Prem” survivors who have been here since Season 2 and survived the barrage of quality managers coming up. We expect to see East Loop back up sooner than later, and Chucky has proven to be a Yo-Yo so they will expect to be back at some point, too.

Championship

There were 3 clear quality clubs in the Champ this season and they will be joining the Prem ranks next year. Congratulations to Boss, ASGs, and Mff (always promoting), who all get to test their mettle up top for the 19-20 campaign.

Wide Open loses a hearbreaker in GW 38 to be sent back down, where they will be joined by Relic (also going back down) and Goleta. Former Prem-ers Wicker, FYS and the Baggers will once again battle to get back to the top next season. Should be another good year in the Champ for 19-20.

League One

It was always the most hotly contested division in BFFA all year. And, in the end, someo had to go up…and some had to go down. Branwellington ripped the heart out of Granitza by a mere 3 Best-ish points to promote back up to the Champ. Chester will join B-Well and Zoo up there next season, the result of a scrappy campaign.

Stillluv barely stays up by drawing with divisional juggernaut Zoo. Which, rhymes with “Whew!”

Down to LG2 for another go will be Wijnaldum, Yer Man and Gloopy. All respectable campaigns, but not enough in the toughest division in BFFA for Season 5.

League Two

The three up are Route, Cabezazo and Hung, as Hung hangs on. The question is will the likes of Sugar and Tiger get to move up with BFFA manager turnover? We shall see.

The remaining teams will more than likely find themselves back in LG2 battling it out for another season. Lucky for them, we have not implemented the National League…yet.
