After the first leg we have two very close games and two lower-league teams struggling against their Premier League overlords.
At the top of the bill, the all-Premier League tie between FC Santa Barbara and East Loop United has set up for a thrilling return leg. East Loop, who have just dropped to ninth in the League, have risen six places in the Best-ish standings while FCSB drop three spots after losing for the first time in six games.
Another close rematch can be seen when Hung Like A Bony travel to Gloopy Yarbles‘ Stadium this weekend. Surprisingly the team ranked 30th in the overall standings has the advantage over the League Two team who’ve just lost their 8-game winning streak last week. Sometimes it’s just a question of timing!
The Best-ish table can tell you a lot about form and in the third Quarter-Final it is telling us that Yer Man are falling while Gene’s Unicorn Reserves are on the way up, almost swapping places. Yer Man have also seen a six-game winning streak come to an end while Gene’s Team passed 50 points as they also beat Europa League rivals Santa Barbara.
Chucky Pad Warriors also enjoyed success over another Europa League team as they beat East Loop United in the Premier League. The Banana Swans beat CL Quarter-Finalists PSV Wide Open last weekend, but didn’t score nearly as well as the Warriors. Chucky Pad, who’ve just joined the Europa League after finishing third in their CL group, hold a seventeen-point lead going into the Second Leg.
