With the end of the gameweek, we unveil a new tournament – The BFFA Europa League.
Eight teams that missed out on qualifying for the Champions League have been entered into the competition. They will be playing for an automatic place in the 2019 Champions League.
These teams are:
Banana Swans (7th in the Championship 2017/18)
Boss’ Blues (6th in the Championship 2017/18)
FC Santa Barbara (6th in the Premier League 2017/18)
Hung Like A Bony (4th in League Two 2017/18)
Mourinho-lo (5th in League Two 2017/18)
The Money Team (7th in the Premier League 2017/18)
Wijnaldum Leviosa (4th in League One 2017/18)
Yer Man (5th in League One 2017/18)
Each round, except the Final, will be a two-legged fixture played on consecutive weeks between GW 9 and GW14.
In the style of UEFA, after the First Round the four remaining teams will be joined by four teams dropping out of the Champions League. The teams that finish third in their CL Groups will enter the Europa League Quarter-Finals for a second chance of a CL spot next year.
