Group Stage: Done.
Teams through: Eight.
Quarter-Finals: Set.
Peltier saw off the Premier League Champions to fly into the Quarter-Finals as the most successful team thus far (5-1). There they will play the highest scoring team from the group stage – The El Dude Bros.
A big win for Barons also puts them into the next round. They will play Group B winners Fergi Time for a shot at a first Semi-Final, and perhaps more.
After their losses this week, Route 57 and Hung Like a Bony fall into the IML QF’s; Smash & Grab and Housewives Favourite go out.
We have Kompany leapfrog Boss with a 20-point win and clinch the top spot at the whistle. They get Group D runners-up and fierce rivals Mighty Fine Feeling in the next round. The World #1 & #2 will play out two legs in GWs11 & 13 in what should be a hotly-contested affair.
In the final Quarter-Final, Gloopy Yarbles will remeet Championship Champions Boss, who had beat them on all four occasions in the League last season. However, Gloopy have outscored them in the Group Stage this year, so this QF could be extremely close.
Sporting Wicker Park couldn’t get over that final hurdle, but their consolation for their two earlier wins is a match in the IML next week. Similarly, ATC’s two wins in the group stage were only enough for third place and a surprise double-header with League One cohorts Jaysokker.
