Game 2. Groups beginning to take shape. Five teams have won both games, two of those play in the next set of matches.
Results and fixtures below.
Next up: Back-to-back games against the same opponents.
Group A
Smash & Grab continue to with the smashing and the grabbing. Peltier drop to third. Route 57 finally get three points with that magic number and Barons remain winless but fighty. S&G also took a league win from Barons this week; they will play each other twice more immediately after the midweek break and R57 square up to Pelkey’s men in week 6 & 7.
Group B
Big scores in Group B this week make Hung and Fergi Time #1 and #2. The top two face off next week while Bros and Wives Fave prepare for THREE consecutive face-offs – two here, then a League match in GW8. Bros didn’t take a single point off Wives Fave last season in League One, but they did knock them out in a Cup QF, 53-37, on their way to the title.
Group C
The last time that C&BS met Boss, they were Gadagnome and Boss Barkley and the latter beat the former 72-15. This meeting was a lot closer, but still a long way from being close. Boss make it two from two. As did WhK with a very narrow win over Premier League rivals SWP. With that second win and another 50-point score, WhK have the advantage in the group as the top two go toe-to-toe in gameweeks seven and eight.
Group D
Things are tight yet again in Group D. Wijnaldum and MFF both pass 50FPts again, but the away team take the win and take the reins going into the next game. Gloopy collect the other three points in another barnburner and prepare for back-to-back games against Wij.
