Sixteen teams are summoned once more for another huge showdown.
It was an exciting return to the Champions League this week. The top three sides from each league last season were joined by the two BFFA Cup winners and two other qualifiers for the toughest competition in the BFFA (not including the Best-ish title or whatever League you’re struggling in). We are without the holders Tralfamadore Zoo this season, we hope they’ll return soon, but we have six title holders in the mix, hoping to double-up on their success earlier this year.
Smash & Grab – the Premier League Champions are in Group A with SB Town Baggers (2016 Champions), The Money Team (2019 CL Runners-Up) and League Two Runners-Up The El Dude Brothers.
Group B is made up of Route 57 FC, last season’s Championship Champions and current the Premier League leaders; AFC Chester, the current Championship leaders; Ole’s at the Wheel, who finished third in League Two last season, and Winter Cup Winners StilluvQPR.
Number one seeds in Group C were League One Winners Webuiltthis City. They are joined by the team that finished one place below them last season, Barons FC, former CL Semi-Finalists GoFys FC and the last active team to win the CL – All Star Gunners.
League Two Champions and current League One leaders Housewives Favourite were drawn against another previous CL Champion, Mighty Fine Feeling, current BFFA Cup holders Drafty and the team they beat in the Final – BFFA Cup Runners-Up Gloopy Yarbles.
