Here, finally, are the results for the First Round of this year’s prestigious BFFA Cup!
Reigning Champions Bigger Than Brolin stride into the Second Round with the highest score of the week.
The biggest winning margin went to Branwellington FC comfortably winning at home against Championship rivals Goleta Hotspur.
The lowest-scoring, and perhaps luckiest, winner of the Round was Gadagnome FC, playing against the only team to underscore them. Our #40 marches on.
The #39 side weren’t so lucky, beaten 41-36 by Championship side KH Granitza Sting FC.
Tapped Up, who beat fellow first-rounders Gadagnome FC 34-32 in the League last week, didn’t manage to do enough to beat their Cup opponents, League One’s 4th Place Trophy, who edged through with 38.

*!* Tiger Tail Retaliation faced StillluvQPR in both Cup and League games this week! Last time they met in the League they drew 50-50. This week goals from Wilson and Hazard weren’t enough for StillluvQPR as 10-man TTR ran out winners in both games by a clear eleven points, thanks chiefly to Dele Alli hitting double figures against Swansea City.
*!* An All-Premier League clash is always one to watch, especially when both teams rack up above-average scores. The two teams fighting to avoid relegation had mixed results in the League – The Money Team (scoring 43) won, GoFYS FC (scoring 48) lost; such is the way of things in Fantasy Football! However, the lower-placed GoFYS came away with the win in the Cup and progress to Round Two.
*!* Lastly, Wijnaldum Leviosa vs. Hung Like A Bony finished all-square. This is the second year in a row that we’ve seen a First Round replay and the second time we’ve seen two teams evenly matched over 50 points.
The tie will be replayed this weekend.
