Chester and AIJP are having a real slobberknocker this weekend with the top two scores in the round at this point, and they’ve still both got three players to come. However, Jiggery-Pokery also have Verbruggen to come off the bench for Ortega, so it’s highly likely that they’ll be moving forward. Whatever happens, it’ll be a shame to lose such a high-scoring KO.

ASG and Slots Fired both left Maddison on the bench this week and his 11 matchpoints are now unreachable. The Gunners have a 3-point advantage with only new signing Marco Asensio to play for their lower-league opponents. There have been five Championship sides knocked out by League One opposition already this season. ASG could be number six if Asensio finds the net against Slot’s side next week.

The L1 curse has already struck the Championship contingent again, this time against IB Lausig who are about to be KO’d by the L1 league leaders. IBL may not have been as lousy as their name suggests, but Delap’s heroics were overshadowed by other shortcomings such as Wissa’s goal being ruled out, Mitchell’s 59th-minute removal, So’ton’s goal against Kepa and Amad’s sudden season-ending injury. But credit where credit’s due, Alleviate the Tedium dominated the match and have an incredible six players on double duty this weekend. They are also coasting to a comfortable league win this gameweek too.

ATC look good for the win with a three-point lead and extra men still to appear, but all four of the remaining players in this match played the full 90 minutes over the weekend, so it remains to be seen as to do who is used again, and for how long.

Gloopy and Boudi’s Crew are contesting the closest match at the break, tonight they are just two points apart and both with three players to come. Both of these Top Five sides have Mo Salah so his score won’t affect this match, but Gloopy have the advantage of the bench. If Tsimikas doesn’t play on Wednesday then Pedro Porro will come on with a game-changing 6, and make it very difficult for the League Two leaders.

It looks like Omar Marmoush has booked Route 57 into their second BFFA Cup Quarter-Final, however, it’s not over for Shams Army yet as they still have two to play plus a couple of points off the bench for the absent Diallo and Ndiaye.

The penultimate game on the list is also far from decided. SkyPlayer do have an eight-point advantage, but mixed allegiances between their remaining four. BattleVAR do have the advantage of a rested Gakpo, but have a little bit of maing up to do.

And finally, mighty Fine have a stranglehold on their Third Round match against Goleta Hotspur. Both only have the one player left and that is Andy Robertson appearing for both sides. It will be MFF’s fourth BFFA Cup QF in GW28 (barring another global pandemic) and their first match against the winner of SkyP/BVAR.
