Gameweek 21: Boss 60 – 60 Farkelife
It was the highest-scoring draw in BFFA Cup history.
Boss made their second-best score of the season so far thanks to big scores from Gabriel and Martinelli in Arsenal’s 5-0 win against Palace, while Diogo Jota chalked 19 in Liverpool’s rout of AFC Bournemouth. This weekend in the replay, Arsenal hosted Liverpool just a few short weeks after their FA Cup meeting in which Arsenal walked out of the Emirates with their tails between their legs. This weekend, Farkelife also hosted Boss in the Premier League, making this BFFA Cup Replay doubly important!
The Replay: Farkelife 47 – 27 Boss – Gameweek 23:
Despite the 20-point victory, there wasn’t actually a lot between the two sides at all. Unbelievably (especially after the 120-point barnburner two weeks ago) both players had eight players scoring a deuce or less. Both ‘keepers scored just the two points, both had a negative-point defender, both had a midfielder with just an assist and both teams had two exceptional standout players.
For Boss, those players were Martinelli in midfield (Goal: 67′; 10 Total)
and Joao Pedro up front (Goal: 84′; 8 Points).
However their opponents had Richarlison in midfield (Brace: 4′, 41′; 15 Points)
and Cunha up front (Hat-Trick: 22′, 63′, 82′, 3 BP; 17 Points).
Farkelife go through to play Jaysokker, currently 2nd in League Two.
