Gameweek 35 Line-Ups
Hung Like a Bony #1 -V- StillluvQPR #15
The teams have been announced, click on the links above.
Championship leaders Hung Like a Bony have kept Raya in goal for the North London Derby game, however, they have dropped Ben White to the bench in a move from 4-4-2 to a more attacking 3-5-2. This formation brings Foden into the starting line-up plus new signing Ben Johnson on a double gameweek.
Chilwell and Pedro Porro retain their places from the Semi-Final, as does Olise, Palmer and Doku in midfield, behind Watkins and Højlund. Rico Lewis was transferred out after then Semi-Final to be replaced by Nathaniel Clyne, who impressed last week against AFC Chester. Clyne occupies the #1 sub position for the final and can replace any outfield non-starter. Moreno (GK) and Nkunku (#3) make up the rest of the bench.
After two incredible scores by StillluvQPR, resulting in a long-awaited escape from ninth place, their squad remains the same as it did in the Semi-Final win over the much-fancied Goleta Hotspur. Only a couple of changes have been made in preparation for the Final – Kyle Walker has been brought off the bench for Neal Maupay (as he is not contractually permitted to play against Everton), and Bowen has replaced teammate Paqueta in the starting line-up for the big Final.
Ben White will again feature in both squads, but he is the only one to do so and as mentioned above he will begin the week on the bench for Hung.
There are some players in direct opposition to each other across this gameweek, potential tournament-winners. Here are some of the match-ups that could decide who wins the BFFA Cup.
Palmer (Hung) v Martinez (Stillluv)
Johnson (Hung) v White (Stillluv)
Chilwell (Hung) v Bailey (Stillluv)
Porro (Hung) v Havertz (Stillluv)
Route to the Final
R1. Don’t Tripp on Silva 41 – 42 StillluvQPR
R2. Housewives Favourite 30 – 32 StillluvQPR
R3. StillluvQPR 53 – 23 Ole’s at the Wheel
QF. De Bruyne Trousers 52 – 53 StillluvQPR
SF. StillluvQPR 71 – 36 Goleta Hotspur
StillluvQPR seem to have made it to the Final by the skin of their teeth. They had to progress through the First Round and they have won three of those five games by just one or two matchpoints! That said though, the other two games were big wins of 30+, and they were the topscorers in the last two rounds. Not only that, but they were League One’s topscorers last week so expect a high-scoring contest this week!
R1. Hung Like a Bony – First Round Bye
R2. Hung Like a Bony 44 – 36 Uncle Monty
R3. Fergi Time 43 – 67 Hung Like a Bony
QF. Atletico Topo Chico 39 – 46 Hung Like a Bony
SF. Hung Like a Bony 69 – 34 Sporting Wicker Park
Hung Like a Bony have been dominant throughout, much as they have been in the League. They come into the Final on the back of a triple-digit score last week (110 from ten players!) and they are a long way ahead in the Best-ish tournament.
Across the season, Hung have outscored StillluvQPR 23 times out of the 34 weeks, but there’s no way of knowing which way this match will go.
