Chicken and Bane San 45 – 13 Cedar Creek FC
It was a comfortable victory in the end for the originals over the rookies. Max Kilman came on for the absent Kieffer Moore with no less than 11 FPts, almost single-handedly taking C&BS into the draw for the next round.

FC Santa Barbara 38 – 50 Barons
Barons got their first Cup win in three years after being knocked out by All Star Gunners in back-to-back seasons. Meanwhile in the Championship, that same ASG team were taking three league points off FCSB this weekend as the twice-Semi-Finalists bowed out at the first exit.

GoFys FC 24 – 49 Webuiltthis City
This double-header saw the Championship’s top-scorers of the week go through to the Second Round and earn a valuable three points in their bid for seventh-place.

Orewa Ostriches 73 – 18 Jaysokker
It was the Score of the Week by eleven clear points (2nd: WhK, 62 FPts) and became the biggest-ever First Round win in BFFA Cup history.

StillluvQPR 29 – 16 Wijnaldum Leviosa
It was the Winter Cup winners Stillluv that walked out of this one intact. Unfortunately for Leviosa, the 2019 runners-up were one of seven teams this weekend who scored less than the 29 FPts set by the Championship side. Stillluv book their sixth consecutive Second Round fixture, but lost high-scoring Hugo Lloris in the process.

Sugar Daddies 30 – 35 TMT
The Sugar Daddies’ Cup woes continue with another early exit from the competition. TMT win the tie by five and also won their league match to climb out of the auto-drop zone.

Vanishing Spray FC 30 – 43 BattleVAR Galatico
Spray were unable to recreate their Cup success of recent years after coming up against an above-average BattleVAR. This helped the Galaticos move up in rank from 33rd to 30t, however, a score of 43 was not enough for them to get anything out of their league match with ELU and they remain in eighth in League One.

Whiskey de Bruyne 47 – 41 ROK F.C.
Both teams won their league matches this weekend; WdB won by 11, ROK by 18. But head-to-head, it was the newbies Whiskey de Bruyne that had the muscle to go further. It was their fourth-highest score of the season, so far, and enough to worry any would-be opponent in next week’s draw.

The Second Round draw will take place next week when I get the house to myself! 😀
