BFFA Cup – Semi-Final Draw

The Semi-Final Draw took place last Saturday and there is now just one game that stands between two of these four teams and their first BFFA Cup Final.

The draw kept the two Premier League teams apart. In the first match, two sides that have not faced each other before – Europa League Champions FC Santa Barbara and League One side Wijnaldum Leviosa – have both lost more games than they have won in the League this season. The lower-League side who are famous for high-scoring games struggled in their last Cup game, scoring only 23, but survived. Their Premier League opponents have had three pretty close games in their Cup campaign but have come out on top in each one so far.

In the other match, Smash & Grab will remember knocking PSV Wide Open out of the Cup last year in their highest-scoring Cup match prior to this season. PSV also had their highest total in the Cup in that game until they beat their best by 1 in the Second Round a few weeks ago. PSV slipped back into the Championship relegation zone last week after Everton’s 2-0 win against Chelsea and are running out of time to save their season. Smash & Grab will still have one eye on the top three spots in the Premier League, but will be fully-focused on this match after the international break.

The Semi-Finals begin on Saturday 30th March with Champions Manchester City away against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Enjoy the next two weeks before we return!
