Next weekend the last eight will be reduced down to four.
Smash & Grab (6) -v- Sugar Daddies (15)
30 League places apart and face-to-face this week for the first time. The League Two side that had never previously won a Cup match are now in the Quarters against a Premier League team that have twice been to the Semis and are favourites to do it again.
PSV Wide Open (26) -v- Mighty Fine Feeling (1)
These two teams have crossed swords 12 times in the last three years. MFF has won 8 of these, including a huge 116-74 slaughter in 2017. Since joining the League in Season III they’ve both won a League Title and back-to-back promotions. This season they find themselves at opposite ends of the table with PSV fighting to survive while MFF (now top of the Best-ish table) challenging for the title once more.
Mourinho-lo (39) -v- Wijnaldum Leviosa (29)
These two strugglers are showing the boys and girls at home that League status doesn’t define us. We blaze our own paths. But only one of these two teams will burn bright enough to get into the Final Four. The other will have eight weeks to concentrate solely on climbing the table.
FC Santa Barbara (21) -v- K.H. Granitza Sting (9)
These two sides have also never met…until now! In respect of total matchpoints this is the closest matchup on the fixture list, that’s only 65 points difference across the season for those that care. Despite having similar records (FCSB:W13D1L15, KHGS:W14D0L15), the Premier League’s FCSB are feeling the pressure of the top flight while the Sting are challenging for a League One promotion place.
